 I’m transitioning…

over to this once + future blog website.

I’ve come to realize it's as though i am putting guests into two different rooms. So - this is to say I will be picking up here where i left off over there. Continuing HH Blog - which you have probably visited at some point.

Please if you are reading this, + you have not already signed up, it’s free + painless., Go to my harnetthargrove.com site + see bottom of first page. Hop over + you’ll will receive infrequent notices of intent. Or a crossing off of a list.

I will cross post, w/ @, FB + here.

I promise you wont be sorry. if you like what’s on my mind - there is always more.

Easy peasy, as they say.

Walk the streets + be open to all of the possibilities that just don't reveal themselves when you're sitting in the kitchen w/ a cup of tea.

Leave it to me to feel like i’ve not said enough long after i’ve said too much.

But i want to get the answer right… so i’ll keep trying.

It's like that infinity mirror trick where you keep seeing infinity by moving a tiny bit, a tiny bit + seeing infinity over + over  + over again — one step at a time.

I don't know how that relates, but in my mind it does.

Ask ai.

What i learned today: car gas caps + i have polar opposite magnetic charges.

ok bye.

Direct response political…

then onto a Bella Tarr film. I did take a brief moment away from communist Hungary by watching the 1971 film Antonio Lopez: Sex, Fashion + Disco. A freewheeling + captivating ride. The screen is always visually full of artist’s work. Unlike a documentary of a musician, where it’s like - it sounds lovely but, ok, he’s sitting at the piano. AGAIN. sorry.

+ a fleeting memory of shop talk in a Chelsea cafe w/ Antonio. Trying not to stare, as i noticed he had egg in his mustache, + not forgetting it to this day.

I’m having a moment of catching up with recent memories. The fam went out a few times over the new year. One was to attend a classical quartet at the jewel of a building in downtown Asheville. We were horrified, not by the music - that was wonderful, but by the audience's behavior. They were stomping + woo-wooing + singing along to the holiday music as if Pete Seeger invited them to. Didn’t ruin our experience, but we had a huge laugh about it afterwards out in the street. But, honestly - do folks not know how to ACT during a classical performance anymore? I was brought up w/ the impression you don't even BREATH until the silence between the musical movements. It didn't help that the promoters said photos were ok.

And here, some images of to+fro for the Monsters at Play install at the Museum of Outdoor Arts Denver. While driving through Missouri and the other ones. If i’d had someone riding shotgun i would've had them prove their love by getting out of the car to pump the gas while driving through Kansas.
