What i learned at the opera today:
Navy and Black are rarely on speaking terms.
Adults do the potty dance, too.
When a sword doesn’t work, try an orange.
When you flood + dry the rake of the stage w/ soda for tack it does-to make that fucing popping noise when you walk on it.
sticky...
ReplyDeleteyou know all the tricks, huh?
um.... i can't claim to understand much of this
ReplyDeletebut it sounds intruiging
ha. love these random bits of wisdom...trading swords for oranges...
ReplyDeleteha, jayne! i am surprised they're *ever* on speaking terms!
ReplyDeleteGood things to know...all.
ReplyDeleteI can't stand a sticky floor though.
put these in the dictionary under "truths" that trance-send time.L
ReplyDeleteAn orange, eh?
ReplyDeleteVitamin C-induced trauma? ;)
An Orange Is Very Apeeling!
ReplyDeleteSounds like an interesting concept!
ReplyDeleteI think that I get the soda thing. It sounds like my kitchen floor!
ReplyDeleteLonnie, I need to post more of the dictionary! When I'm off deadline...
ReplyDeleteYou could probably write a book on all four of these or weave them into a song lyric. Maybe keeping your Donovan theme you could set them to one of his catchy little tunes (I always liked his tunes more than his words).
ReplyDeleteVery true about black and navy. Rather like my mother used to say about me not liking my cousin because we were so much alike. ;o)
ReplyDeletei like the brevity of your blog. The sound of dried soda...and the potty dance at the opera. sounds like my kitchen when 3 teenagers are using it! Ha1
ReplyDeletethanks for visiting my site.
